Emery and Graham, Emery and Graham, Emery and Graham!!! I’ve been wanting Emery’s story ever since he barreled his way into our lives and it. was. A-MA-ZING. The action was expertly suspenseful, the villains were dastardly evil, and all the threads we’ve been chasing were cleverly knotted and tied into a giant bow. I wish this wasn’t the end of this incredible world but I have hope we’ll visit again and I plan to do a re-read now that all the books are out to search for clues I missed the first time around.Emery’s past broke my heart into little pieces but oh how tenderly, patiently and perfectly did Graham piece it back together. “…there’s one thing in my life that I know is certain. I will never be alone again, and Graham will always be there for me. He will never turn on me or make feel like the others did. He’s mine. Always and forever...” Gah, I mean how is a person not supposed to tumble head over heels in love for these two? It’s impossible if you ask me and frankly, I don’t want to think about a world where there’s no Rowan, Quinn, Graham or Emery. From boxes to pillows, these phenomenal characters will have you laughing, smiling, cheering and wanting to reach through the pages to hug, or in my case, ruffle the floof of, them all. 4 ½ StarsOf Redemption and Vengeance is a perfect ending for this series. I’m going to miss these characters and this strange and dangerous world the author created.I enjoyed the storyline and its twists and turns. The characters keep the flow going with a bit of angst, a good dose of fear, and no small amount of humor. There is some good action and suspense. I felt like I was waiting for something, though. Like I was being prepared for something that never happened. The seriousness of the scenes keeps the playful times to a minimum, but there are enough to appease our need for the Alice Winters ROFL experience.I’m glad that Quinn and Rowan have active voices. They are such integral parts of the story that it would not be enough to only hear from Emery and Graham. Rowan cracked me up like he always does.Graham and Emery ended up being a good couple. Graham has patience that I would never have credited him with based on the previous books. He is more like Quinn than I thought.Emery is well-written with his PTSD tendencies and harsh backstory. Emery, in a playful mood, is hilarious and a little bit selfish. I love it. Their sexy times are brief, a little awkward at first, but satisfying in the end. No pun intended.Ari always steals the show, though. He is absolutely hilarious, and I wish I could see more of him all the time.I’m sorry to see this end.I look forward to more from this author.
